Fee: NONE!!

FOOD: In order to keep our event free, we will not be holding a feast. However, depending on headcount, our group may receive a special buffet price at Kristin's Riverwalk at Stevens Point! It is especially important to join the Facebook Event page, which will help our coordinators figure out how many people are going!

We will be holding a Sword and Board, a Florentine, and a Single Blue Tourney. The entry fee is $3. First place in each competition will win a belt flag. The proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the Belegarth scholarship. Signup will be at Troll.

If you would like to volunteer to do weapons check, herald, or help at troll, send us a message. Same goes if people need help finding crash space/hotels.

Please note that the event site may change.  In the meantime, we are defaulting to our usual practice field. Because this site is in a high traffic area of campus, we will not be allowing archery. If anything changes, I’ll do my best to provide plenty of notice.  Make sure to keep up to date by following the Facebook Event page.

Daisho Con is taking on “Tri-Con Weekend!” We will be visiting three different conventions all in one weekend! We will be at Kitsune Kon, Let’s Play Green Bay, and Anime Detour.

Kitsune Kon is a fellow anime convention held in Appleton, WI. Daisho Con will have Daisho shirts, lanyards, and our brand new buttons for sale at our booth. And for the first time ever, we will be debuting the “Daisho Con Survival Kits!” Come by our table and pick one up, while supplies last, and let us know what you think about them. Let’s Play Green Bay is a family tabletop gaming convention in (you guessed it) Green Bay. One of Let’s Play’s sponsors is Gnome Games, the same company that provides Daisho Con with our Tabletop Gaming room. During the weekend, some of our very own staff will be running RPG events for different systems like Serenity, Dresden, and Game of Thrones. Daisho Con’s table will also be selling Daisho shirts, lanyards, and new buttons for sale. Take a look at Let’s Play Green Bay’s schedule and events on their website.

That's why we're announcing that our registration will be opening [...]]]> Here at the Daisho Con headquarters (stronghold? fortress?), we're constantly striving towards coming up with bigger and greater ideas for our conference.  We're looking to expand even further this year and hold the biggest Daisho Con yet, and we want you to be there!

That's why we're announcing that our registration will be opening on April 15th!  We'll have a lot of announcements to give out between now and then, so make sure to keep in touch here to see what we're planning!  We'll also be announcing our venue and dates at that time, so stop by often!

Vendors and Artists can also register on April 15th!  If you're looking to join the roster of talented artists and proven merchants, make sure you register early!  Our spaces fill up fast!

How can you get involved before registration opens?  (Thanks for asking!) Sign-up for the forums, and you can get access to our our dance request threads, viewing room requests, and many more topics related to the conference!  We have lots of fun members who talk about all kinds of geeky topics!  You can also get our updates through Twitter and Facebook as well!

How to Get Involved!

Getting involved is easy! Our meetings are at 8pm on Mondays in the Dreyfus University Center student organization lounge (in the basement, near the offices in the back). This is a great way to meet all of our staff and departments to see what areas of the convention interest you!

Everest Gaming Club.  EVERCON has grown a lot in just the past few years, and it's one of [...]]]> This weekend is EVERCON 2012, just north of our headquarters in Stevens Point, and Daisho Con is preparing to rough the winter storms on our way to D.C. Everest!

EVERCON is a gaming convention started by the D.C. Everest Gaming Club.  EVERCON has grown a lot in just the past few years, and it's one of the largest conventions hosted in a K-12 school district.

We'll be walking around the convention in our staff shirts, taking pictures and chatting with the local undead community members.  If you see one of us walking around (hopefully uninfected), make sure to stop by to chat about Daisho Con business!
