DaishoCast:Live on Location returns for its third episode this weekend at Anime Iowa!
DaishoCast will be broadcast to you from the Coralville Marriott Hotel in Coralville Iowa. Expect some more great geek news and updates, and even some updates for Daisho Con 2011, of course!
This time, we'll be discussing Artist Alleys as one of our main topics. Nearly every anime conference has one, and we'll be talking about what makes them work!
Don't forget to give us a listen, whether you're at home or at Anime Iowa! If you're near, feel to stop on by!

DaishoCast:Live on Location returns for its second episode this Saturday at ACen!
DaishoCast will be broadcast to you from the O'Hare Hyatt in Rosemont, IL, and as always, we'll be bringing you the latest geek news and hot topics in the con world. Not only that, but we'll be talking about Anime Central itself and getting live feedback from congoers in the audience.
We also have three amazing guests from the local cosplay world: Kate Thorp, Tara Reich, and Carolyn Hazen. All three have won awards in the con circuit or judged at cosplay contests. Also, we'll have Nick from The Enthusiasts giving his report at the conference.
Don't forget to give us a listen, whether you're at home or at ACen, and you can learn how to register for an even cheaper rate for Daisho Con 2011. We'll have recent Daisho Con updates and more... maybe even something for the bronies!

Anime Central (or ACen) is one the largest anime conventions in the Midwest, and we'll be there broadcasting live!
Stay tuned for more details!
Want to donate early to the Red Cross, even before our Saturday broadcast? You can do so here. We'll be using that page throughout the weekend, just click on the red Donate button!
Also, you'll be able to see us Daisho Con members, but how will you hear the questions from the Trivia contest? Well, you have a couple of options:
- Turn on our radio! If you're within 90FM's 30,000-watt listening range, turn your dial to 89.9. This is the preferred method, since you won't have to deal with any potential internet lag.
- Listen online: 90FM has a streaming server... you can access it here:http://www.uwsp.edu/stuorg/wwsp/listenlive.html Be aware that the server can sometimes lag behind by a short amount.
- Watch online: Trivia is also broadcast by SPTV, our university's television station. I haven't used it so much, so I don't know how the lag is. Try it out, and if you like it let us know! http://www.uwsp.edu/stuorg/stv/watchsptv/index.aspx
- Other ways? Well, we'll let you know if we figure out some other options!
We'll be the Trivia team named Why U No Daisho Con?. Tune into the broadcast below, join the Chatroom, and Get ready for the Big Show, this Saturday at 6 PM CST!
If you'd like to play along, join our awesome chatroom at http://forum.daishocon.com/chat/. You need to be logged into your Forum account to login, but feel free to give us a hand!
Greetings, friends! We've opened up a chatroom to prepare for 90FM's Trivia contest!
You'll need to be logged into the forums to access the link, and the chatroom (at the moment) is for forum members that want to play on our team. Have fun, and get ready for some seriously difficult trivia questions!
We'll be releasing Red Cross's donation page as well, so keep tuned!
Let's be honest: If you're browsing this site, you are undoubtedly a broker in useless facts, interesting pop culture references and obscure media. We need your help!
This year, we're combining our charity drive with WWSP-90FM's annual Trivia contest - The LARGEST Trivia contest in the world!
We've already created a name and registered our team... now we want you to help us get to the top of the pack... or at least a credible distance away from the bottom! Here's the deal: It's all happening this weekend starting at 6pm on Friday, April 8th, and continuing every hour until 12:00am on Monday! (At 8+ questions per hour, that's... carry the one, plus five...... a lot of Trivia!!!)
If you've never played 90FM's Trivia before, let's just say it's intense. Teams are fierce and have libraries upon libraries of magazines and encyclopedias and reference books built up for just this one weekend. This is why we need the your help. We would love to have you on our team! We want the help of the Midwest Con community to gather together and play trivia with us.
You can join our team by joining our forums. We'll be keeping the Daisho Con Trivia Headquarters there, and we also be posting relevant rules, pictures, and videos for us to study and train for the contest. We'll also be posting instructions on how to join in on the Daisho Con Team's fun when Friday comes, so make sure to stop by, introduce yourself, and show us your Trivia prowess! We'll be keeping this headquarters private to our forums, so make sure to sign up if you want to play with our team!
At 6:00pm on Saturday, we'll also be collecting donations for the Red Cross to benefit Wisconsin's charitable needs! Much like Hope for Haiti last year, we'll be having fun skits and games playing until... well, whenever we stop! If you want to see our Daisho Con staff make fools of themselves (and, outside of Daisho Con, who doesn't?) during this special block of our livestreaming broadcast, then you should stop by and donate! We'll be having lots of fun events... and you might even get to command our convention co-chairs!
You won't need to join our team to watch our broadcast and donate to the Red Cross. We hope you'll stop by and join the fun regardless as we update how we're doing against all odds!
