Catch Us at EVERCON 2012 This Weekend!

This weekend is EVERCON 2012, just north of our headquarters in Stevens Point, and Daisho Con is preparing to rough the winter storms on our way to D.C. Everest!

EVERCON is a gaming convention started by the D.C. Everest Gaming Club.  EVERCON has grown a lot in just the past few years, and it's one of the largest conventions hosted in a K-12 school district.

We'll be walking around the convention in our staff shirts, taking pictures and chatting with the local undead community members.  If you see one of us walking around (hopefully uninfected), make sure to stop by to chat about Daisho Con business!

Again, that's all happening this weekend, January 13th & 14th, at D.C. Everest Junior High!  Make sure to like their facebook page (and ours) for new updates.

Listen to Liquid86's Daisho Sessions

If you've been to Daisho Con's dances and raves over the past years, you've probably heard the expert spinning and awesome electronic music choices of DJ Liquid86.

This year, Liquid86 is releasing a three part series of mixes inspired by the resurgence of electronica and his 2011 podcasts that will be loaded through SoundCloud, all leading up to his first fully mastered mixtape, Low Viscosity Filth.

You can listen to the first Session, Cause, at Liquid 86's SoundCloud.  This week, Liquid86 also released his second Session, Effect.

There's huge news in the future, so make sure to subscribe our our homepage and "Like" Liquid86 on Facebook!

Thanks for Making Daisho Con 2011 Great!

Daisho Con 2011 was the most fun we've had yet running a convention.  We've put a lot of work into making 2011 our best convention yet, and we know that it wouldn't have been possible without our great guests, artists, vendors, and you, the con attendees!  We've roughed through one of the biggest challenges that a convention can ever face, and your positive energy helped make Daisho Con 2011 possible!

Can't wait another year for Daisho Con 2012?  Don't worry! We'll be running room parties at other conventions, and many of our staff member run panels and events at local conventions.  Make sure to stop by our table to get the best deal for Daisho Con 2012 registration!

Of course, you can always join the fun on our Facebook page, Twitter, and forums to keep involved over the year and even help us think of great new ideas for 2012! Also, if you're on deviantArt you should join the Daisho Con Fan Brigade!  We're constantly uploading new fan art and official Daisho Con artwork to our deviantArt, so stop by and join!

Stay tuned in to our home page during this week, and we'll release a Daisho Con 2011 survey, with suggestion boxes that will help you give us input and make next year even better!  We'll also keep our front page updated with other really important news, including dates for next year and even more!  Keep in touch!  We'll be around!

Important Update About Stephanie Young

We're sorry to announce that due to unfortunate  last-minute travel complications, Stephanie Young will not be at Daisho Con 2011.

We wish Stephanie the best, and we'll have more updates about Daisho Con 2011 throughout the day.

Con Day, Gotta Get Down on Con Day!

The day is here!  We are now mere hours away from Daisho Con 2011!

Many of you are packing your bags now to prepare for the trip down to the Kalahari, but we just wanted to give you a few reminders:

If you have any questions about anything at the conference, don't hesitate to ask a staff member!  We'll all be wearing staff shirts throughout the convention, and we're here to help you out with nearly any issue!

Secondly, don't forget to support our vendors and artists!  Our vendors and artists have lots of interesting collectibles, treats, toys, clothes, prints and many other things, so make sure to spend some time taking a look around!

Thirdly, respect the rules and policies!  We built our rules to keep everyone safe, so if you don't get a chance to attend opening ceremonies you should at least read over them in the guidebook.

And, most of all, have fun!

Of course, for breaking news, follow us on Twitter and Facebook!

If you passed out for a day and a half it would be Daisho Con! We highly suggest not doing that though. For now watch this informative video on registration and you!
